BPSA 2008 Elusive Welsh Open - Oct 11th - 12th

Russell Winter wins the King of Watersports "King of the Wave" competition
In an explosive final Russell Winter won the King of the Wave crown with the highest individual wave score of 9.83, and then went on to win the Elusive Welsh Open.

The Women’s crown went to Kathleen Spears, with a wave score of 9.07 in her semi final heat.

KingofWatersports.com provided a ‘King of the Wave’ prize, a top of the range Sector 8 Skateboard to the surfers, male and female who scored the highest scoring waves throughout the contest.

With the waves and the weather coming together to create an epic event here are the final results for the weekend.

Mens
1st place - Russell Winter (Newquay)
2nd place - Reubyn Ash (Bude)
3rd place - Matt Capel (S Devon)
4th place - Spencer Hargraves (Newquay)

 

Womens
1st place - Kathleen Spears (Croyde)
2nd place - Holly Donnelly (Newquay)
3rd place - Raine Jackson (Australia)
4th place - Jenny Horbas (Bournemouth)

 

Pro Junior
1st place - Josh Piper (Newquay)
2nd place - Reubyn Ash (Bude)
3rd place - Jayce Robinson (St Ives)
4th place - Lyndon Wake (Croyde)
