The UK Professional Surf Tour is coming to North Bay in Scarborough for the first time for Round 4 of the UK Professional Surf Tour
PLUS- the event will host some the UK’s Top professional BMX and Mountain bikers in a series of freestyle shows for the public to enjoy run by the legendary Animal Bike Tour.
In addition, Hairy Bobs Skate Park will run a series of daily workshops hosted by two professional skateboard and BMX riders. These will offer a series of free coaching workshops to any young people that show up on the day and equipment will be provided.
To complement the festival, bands will perform live on the promenade at North Bay and in nearby bars and venues.The public can enjoy drive in movies, projections at the lighthouse, films at Blue Crush and more. The full programme will be announced at the end of August.
Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, added: “North Bay is a firm favourite with surfers and now we have the chance to really show it off to the rest of the UK. Not only will the festival bring the crowds to Scarborough, it will also be a real boom to the economy and will add to the town’s growing reputation for being an exciting place to be.”
The action starts at 10 AM on Saturday 1st October and runs through till 5 PM on Sunday 2nd October
