Venue: Porthmeor Beach St Ives Date: TBC Sponsors: TBC Supported by: Gul have been sponsoring UK Pro Surf Tour events for the last six years. Initially the Newquay Open, now for the second time the St Ives event. This is the only Professional Surfing Event in this part of Cornwall and is put on to support the development of competitive surfing in the region. Giving the opportunity for the local surfers to compete at the highest level.

Porthmeor works best through the drop of the tide. It is a beach break with multiple peaks up and down the beach.

Best wind direction: Light Offshore Southerly, but will be offshore from South West to South East.
Swell Directions: A West or North swell creates more peaky conditions,
